About Us
I was born and raised on a Dairy Farm in Maine and my wife Martha was raised on a Beef Farm in North Carolina. We both found that organic and natural foods tasted best and was certainly better for us. So we developed a website that sells organic and natural bison and exotic meat, maple syrup and honey-- http://www.organicandnaturalfoodsolutions4u.com. We desire to make it very easy and convenient to buy the variety of products that you may not be able to secure locally at your grocery store. You don’t even have to leave your home to buy, and it will be delivered directly to your home or business in just a few days.
But here on THIS website we are giving you an opportunity to buy a CASKET or URN for a very reasonable price. Some are 40-75% under what you will pay at your local funeral home. As a retired Southern Baptist minister I have long wished families did not have to pay so much for caskets especially during such an emotional time. Not everyone takes the time to plan ahead, though we all should.
I am personally and I know many of you are interested in getting back to the simple days of burial. My family will be using a plain wooden casket for me. I don't want to burden them financially, and I really like the simplicity of an environment-friendly container for my casket.
As a retired Home Missionary with the Southern Baptist Convention, I now do Church Consulting and am a Chaplain with the Civil Air Patrol. I pastored in Georgia, Texas, and Maine before becoming a Director of an Associations of Churches in Central New York State. We now live just north of Wilmington, NC right on the Inter-coastal Waterway.
For those interested in geneologies, we have traced our name back to Summerset, England in the 1550's. Our family settled in New England and my particular side in Maine. Winterport to be exact. I had an older sister who died after a couple of days and a younger brother who has also passed away. Martha, my wife, is from Watha, North Carolina. We had six children. Our oldest son died just before his 19th birthday with a heart attack. Our second daughter has a transplanted heart and our remaining son has a defibulator. We have eight grandchildren. God has been very good to us.
About Our Company
Choosing a casket is a very personal and important decision. Families should choose a casket based on their own preferences and the personality of their loved one. We believe we offer a selection that will allow everyone to find something appropriate. Every funeral presents an opportunity to share a life story. From simple, personalized touches to elaborate themed services, there are unlimited opportunities for creating a meaningful tribute.
The "American way of death" is more elaborate and costly than in most other countries. Competition in the usual sense is absent in the U.S. funeral businesss. Yet, paradoxically, there are too many mortuaries; half of them receive only one or two cases a week. Their prices must be high to stay in business, while those with more business reap great profit at the consumer's expense.
In the late 1970's the Federal Trade Commission determined that "the emotional trauma of bereavement, the lack of information, and time pressures, place the consumer at an enormous disadvantage in making funeral arrangements." We are making every effort we can on this site to help educate families of what they can do and how to do it, as well as sell caskets and urns at a reasonable price.
Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide families with the highest quality caskets and urns with design features that help honor the life of a loved one and tell the story of a life well lived.
